About PelletGuns101

Air rifle buying guides research-compiled from manufacturer specifications and verified listings. We do the reading, put the numbers side by side, and show how we got to a recommendation.

Our Mission

PelletGuns101 exists to help everyday shooters find the right air rifle without wading through marketing fluff or sponsored content. Whether you're looking for a backyard plinker, a pest control solution, or a precision target rifle, the job of a guide here is to put the published numbers side by side and explain what they mean for the way you plan to shoot.

Every evaluation here is meant to be a fair one — the equipment judged on its own merits, never shaped by outside interests. No manufacturer buys a recommendation on this site.

Airguns are an accessible, affordable, and responsible way to enjoy shooting sports. Our goal is to help more people find equipment that matches their skill level and budget — and to be clear about where every figure on the page came from.

How Our Guides Are Built

PelletGuns101 Research

Specification research and comparison

Every guide is research-compiled from manufacturer specifications and verified listings: published figures from the maker, product data read from current retailer listings when the page is built, and comparisons drawn from those numbers.

Where a guide reaches a conclusion — that one rifle suits an adult beginner better than another — the reasoning is shown on the page, so you can weigh it against what you actually need.

Every number here traces to a source. Where a manufacturer does not publish a figure, the guide says so.

What Sets Us Apart

Sourced Numbers
Specifications, not estimates

Velocity, weight, caliber, and price come from the manufacturer's published figures and current retailer listings

Shown Reasoning
You can check our work

When a guide says one rifle suits you better than another, the specs behind that call are on the page — so you can disagree with it

No Sponsorships
No manufacturer relationships

No brand pays for placement here, sends us product, or reviews a guide before it publishes

Editorial Independence

Honest Recommendations, Always

We participate in the Amazon Associates program, which means we earn commissions when you purchase through our links. That never influences which products a guide recommends: the picks follow from the published specifications, and we will say plainly when a popular model is overpriced for what it does — even when the alternative earns us less.

And when we get something wrong, we correct it. Errors get fixed and stale product information gets updated, so the guide in front of you reflects what we can stand behind today.
